Furniture industry as well is an industrial sector which consumes large amounts of energy sources and natural resources, both in trade, and in manufacturing. While our company continues to develop, we feel to place more and more emphasis on environmental challenges too. It is in all of our interests to pay attention to sustainable development and to exploit its full potential. We believe that with this attitude we can do a lot for environmental protection. Moreover, we trust that we can set an example to our colleagues and our partners, too with this mindset. We also do our part to protect the environment by using electric vehicles and solar systems.

The use of electric cars is an important factor in terms of sustainable development, their emission of pollutants is minimal, thus reducing biological footprint. Our company car fleet is being replaced with electric vehicles.

The use of electric forklifts has significant advantages. Instead of conventional internal combustion engines, electric forklifts use environmentally friendly energy sources and do not have such harmful emissions as in case of conventional forklifts. Electric version operates at a lower level of noise, thus providing better working conditions facilitating more efficient work.

The use of solar panels plays an important role in realizing sustainable development in furniture industry as well. Energy produced by solar panels reduces the energy consumption of furniture industry, thus decreases environmental impact. We are continuously expanding our solar panel park, for we can provide our company with renewable energy for consumption in forklifts and company car fleet as well in this way.

We are pleased to announce that our company has achieved FSC certification at group level. FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certifies sustainable sylviculture and indicates that our company uses wood that has been grown in an environmentally friendly and responsible way. This certification demonstrates that our company is committed to environmental protection and sustainability.

Forests and forest industry play an important role in the life of humankind, since timber is one of the most important commodities of construction industry and is used in various other industries, too. However, the conservation and sustainable management of forests is essential in favour of future generations too.

Obtaining FSC certification is a long and detailed process, during which an enterprise must meet strict requirements. The first step is to select an FSC accredited certification body that supervises the audit. During the audit, the company is expected to fulfil the requirements of FSC. Those requirements comprise forest management, protection, and sustainable use of forests as well.

Earning FSC certification is not a simple task, it is a long-term commitment to sustainable forest management and demonstrates the real commitment of the business concerned to sustainability and environmental protection.
